My dad has a company specializing in pumps and once I graduated from college, I was going to work for him and had to learn the ins and outs. To learn everything about positive displacement pumps was very hard for me but my dad sent me on a course, which would teach me all about the different types of pumps and when to use it. Growing up in a house where my dad often talked about work, to me a pump was just a pump but now I had to all of a sudden know everything since my dad believes that in order to be a great boss, you need to be able to do everyone’s work. For the next few months, I will be sitting with my nose in the books trying to figure out what the difference is between various positive displacement pumps and when to use which.
